Michael Cunningham

Michael Cunningham is the author of seven novels: A Home at the End of the World, Flesh and Blood, The Hours, Specimen Days, By Nightfall, The Snow Queen and Day; a collection of short stories, A Wild Swan and Other Tales; and a work of nonfiction, Land’s End. A new nonfiction book, Unsayable, is forthcoming in the summer of 2026. The Hours received the 1999 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, as well as the PEN/Faulkner Award. It was adapted into a film in 2002, featuring Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore and Nicole Kidman, who won an Academy Award for Best Actress. He is a professor at Yale University.
