Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota is an award-winning journalist and author with over 30 years of experience. She spent a decade at CNN, anchoring the morning show New Day and hosting primetime specials on issues like sexual assault and fraternity hazing. Before CNN, she worked at FOX News, including on FOX & Friends, and as a crime reporter on America’s Most Wanted. Alisyn has earned two Emmys, an Edward R. Murrow Award, and a DuPont-Columbia Award for her coverage of major events, including Hurricane Maria and the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. Her reporting during the Parkland shooting and political
elections sparked national conversations. She’s the author of the acclaimed novel Amanda Wakes Up and the bestselling memoir Combat Love. Alisyn also hosts the Sanity podcast and writes a popular Substack. She is an advocate for media literacy and serves on advisory boards for The News Literacy Project and American University’s School of Communications.
